Anja Chavez has been creating unique stitched, woven and strung beadwork for nearly 20 years. In 2008 she won both First and Second Place in the All Hobbies Department of All Oregon at the State Fair with her beadwork. She has placed First Place consecutively at the Oregon State Fair since 2001, as well as receiving the People's Choice Award at the Lincoln County Fair and has often received "Best in Show" awards as well at the Oregon State Fair.

Her jewelry appeals to a wide variety of people because she employs a unique approach to her beadwork. Her choices of colors, materials and unique designs create many different offerings including pouches, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, ornaments and pins. She utilizes Swarovski crystals, gemstones, unusual glass beads, freshwater pearls and millefiori
beads in a multitude of colors as well as high quality findings. Some of her pieces are woven and lacy, some are stitched with intricate designs with alluring fringe, all of them feature a high level of craftsmanship and durability. She approaches her complex woven pieces as the artist she is, incorporating a very well-devloped sense of color and texture with the materials she chooses to bring a depth to her designs that is truly unusual. From the simple to the complex style, her jewelry is truly Unique. Anja is starting her 9th year with the Newport Farmers Market, come visit with her
